Farmington Bakery has been making authentic Persian
bread for over a decade. Called "barbary" by our Persian
customers, our bread tastes just like the bread that many
remember eating in Iran. Our recipe is made with
unbleached and unbromated flour, water, salt and yeast
and then coated in white hulled sesame seeds before being
promptly baked in a very hot oven. While our Persian
customers prefer the bread thin and dark, many other
customers prefer it fluffly and lightly baked. Just let us
know how you like it and we can try and accomadate.

Many restraunts, deli's and caters around metro-Detroit
are using our Persian bread for sandwiches. Just carefully
cut the bread lengthwise with a serrated knife and begin
filling the sandwich with your fixings.

We bake Persian bread every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
and Saturday. If you would like your bread thinner and
darker please call us the day before. (The bread gets baked
very early in the morning.) We always recommend calling
in your bread order, especially if you would like many
loaves, we often sell-out early. We give discounts for orders
over 50 loaves. If you would like to purchase our Persian
Bread at our many retail stores check locations by clicking
